TRAVEL TO BUSAN BY AIR

ⓒGimhae International Airport of Korea Airports Cooperation

The code for the Busan Gimhae Airport is PUS. There are some direct international flights (re-starting in June) from PICES member countries serving this airport:

Fukuoka, Japan (FUK)
Qingdao, China (TAO)

Most international travellers (e.g. from North America and Europe) should transit via Seoul (ICN). Since the pandemic, there have been no domestic flights from Seoul Incheon Airport (ICN) (we will update when service resumes), but there are frequent connecting flights departing from Seoul Gimpo Airport (GMP). The two airports are connected by convenient train and bus services:

  • Airport train (AREX):
  • KAL limousine (currently suspended due to COVID, we will update when service resumes)
  • Taxi
There are currently no direct flights from Asian cities to Seoul Gimpo Airport due to COVID, we will update that information when service resumes.

FROM SEOUL INCHEON AIRPORT
Take Airport Train (AREX) to Seoul Train Station and take KTX at Seoul Train Station to Busan Train Station:

From Busan GimHae Airport to Haeundae

  • Subway (1 hour 20 min)
  • Taxi (40 min) - Normal: KRW 30,000 / Deluxe: KRW 45,000
  • City bus (1 hour 50 min) - No. 307 → Get off at Haeundae Beach
  • Limousine bus (currently suspended)

From Busan Train Station to Haeundae

  • Bus (1 hour)
    • Express bus No. 1003 → Get off at Haeundae Spa Sageori (around 45 min) → Walk toward Haeundae Beach (6 min) → The hotel
    • Express bus No. 1001 → Get off at Haeundae (around 52 min) → Walk toward Haeundae Beach (14 min) → The hotel
  • Subway (1 hour)
    • Busan Station (Line 1) → Transfer to Seomyeon (Line 2) → Exit 3/5 of Haeundae (Line 2) → Walk toward Haeundae Beach (for 10 min)
  • Taxi (25 min): KRW 20,000
