Registration

We urge interested participants to PRE-REGISTER (sign up) for the meeting as early as possible, for planning the Symposium more efficiently. Pre-registration is necessary before you can submit an abstract.

Pre-registration is important as it will add your record to our database. We can then keep you updated, prepare your name tag etc.

Pre-registration does not require an immediate payment; however, to take advantage of the Early Registration Fee you MUST pay before the deadline. Registration is not considered complete until the registration fee is received.

The registration fee covers: Access to all Symposium events, supporting tools to manage your agenda (the Whova App and a digital book of abstracts), coffee breaks in the mornings and afternoons and lunch for all four days of the Symposium, plus a Welcome Reception, and Conference Dinner on the final day.

How to find the correct registration fee to pay:

You may be eligible for a reduced registration fee if you are living in, or a student from, one of the countries listed HERE. Eligibility is based on the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) List of ODA Recipients and includes least developed countries, as well as lower-middle-income and upper-middle-income countries. There are also reduced fees for early registrants who pay before the due date. Registrant Types are explained below.

Use this diagram to help you find the registration fee you will need to pay.

Registrant Types (selected during on-line registration process):

These are the Registrant Types to select from during your on-line symposium registration process:

  1. Standard Participant
An in-person Symposium participant (with or without presentation - a contributed talk or a poster), who does not fall into any of the categories listed below.

  2. Officially Invited Speaker (or Keynote speaker)
A special speaker invited by the Symposium or Session convenors to give a talk, with a guaranteed allocated time slot. This should NOT be confused with a contributed speaker, whose presentation undergoes selection and approval after all abstracts are submitted. All Officially Invited Speakers will be listed on the Program page.

  3. Convenor
A Convenor is a session chair (with or without a contributed talk). All Convenors are listed on the Program page.

  4. Convenor AND Invited Speaker
A participant who combines both roles (2) and (3) - see above.

  5. Organizer
A participant (with or without a contributed talk) who belongs to the Convening Committee, Program Committee, Local Organizing Committee (LOC) and who is NOT a "Convenor" or "Invited Speaker".

  6. Guest A Guest is a person accompanying a symposium participant, such as a spouse and children over 13; Guests cannot attend the sessions, but can attend the coffee breaks, welcome reception and the symposium dinner. Guests cannot register themselves. A symposium participant registers and pays for their guest(s) a Guest Registration fee.

Registration Fee Types (selected during on-line payment process):

If an incorrect payment is made, the outstanding registration fee balance must be paid on-site before receiving your name tag and registration package.
