The North Pacific Marine Science Organization (PICES) is an International Intergovernmental Science Organization. PICES promotes and coordinates marine research in the North Pacific and its adjacent seas. It is a non-profit organization. Our member countries are: Canada, Japan, People's Republic of China, Republic of Korea, the Russian Federation, and the United States of America. These countries provide the funding to execute the PICES Program. PICES is governed by its Governing Council according to the PICES convention. The financial administration of PICES is regulated through its Financial Regulations.
